Relays much evolved from their first electromechanical design & evolved during all these years, are available into many flavors. Though the main electromechanical design having a coil is still used in very large quantities, other varieties have also been developed as the requirements demand more & more compactness & less and less current consumption. Relay as we know is an electromagnetic component. They operate by applying current to the coil ends of the relays. This power can be AC or DC. That is relays can be operated by Alternating Current (AC) or Direct Current (DC). The voltages can be 5,6,12 or 24 and 110 as far as DC is concerned while it can be operated through AC voltages also. AC voltages can be 6,12,24,48,110 & 230 Volts.
There are many forms of relays that are available on the market, which is the reason you have to think very carefully before deciding on a relay class or type. The same holds true if you are looking for genic-om relays, or any other type of brand name, because ultimately, your applications will rely heavily on these devices and the ability to work correctly. The first thing you will realize almost immediately is that there are different classes and types. So, whether you are looking for power relays, bar relays, or auxiliary relays, there are more factors that you have to consider before you decide to buy these items.
